I had a really hard time trying to figure out the best way to approach the style of this track. I assumed that this was going to be one of the easier songs to create on the album, but the process to start it was a constant back and forth. I went through a lot of different trial and error WIP’s and scrap lyrics trying to figure out which direction I wanted to take the song in, but definitely looked to ‘The Weeknd’s’ music for inspiration while creating this. I finally sat down one night and made it, and it ended up coming together faster than any song I had ever created. This single is important to me because it gives an amazing depiction of a Mantra Sounds x Grim Steez collab. The album as a whole was a great interpretation of the collab project but this song specifically hones in on how the two work together as a pair. This song has definitely secured a spot for being one of my favorites on the album.
